SRUFC is taking part in NatWest RugbyForce and is calling on the support of volunteers and the local community to get involved in a weekend of DIY on 21st & 22nd June.
Natwest RugbyForce is a nationwide programme developed in partnership with the RFU, which helps community rugby clubs to improve their facilities with the long term goal of becoming stronger businesses.
The NatWest RugbyForce Weekend is an opportunity for all club members and the local community to come together to have some DIY fun and work on an improvement project which will make a real difference. There will be a range of jobs available so that everyone can get involved.
The club will be turning a redundant Squash Court into changing facilities for the junior section. We will be providing refreshments & BBQ after. The New Zealand v England game will be shown at Des & Sandra’s before we start working (breakfast provided) kick off time to be advised. A tag contest will be run late afternoon from 3pm.
England Head Coach and a NatWest RugbyForce ambassador Lancaster, said: “Rugby clubs are at the heart of their local communities and we know that they need support to sustain themselves, not only for the next couple of seasons but also for the years to come. Many England players started their careers at these clubs and NatWest RugbyForce will help clubs to help themselves by giving them a long term vision and enabling them to think like a business to attract and retain members.
SRUFC Needs your help to make this project a success . It will improve the match day experience not just for you but the opposition as well.
