Please take a few minutes to read this post.
After lasts night session it has become clear that over the past few months’ numbers have dwindled.
It was agreed at the start of the season that sessions would go down to once a week and everyone one would make an effort to attend that session and as it was only for two hours be there on time and concentrate on the session. I have been observing this of late and it seems that this is not happening. Where did this go wrong….you tell me?
It has got to the point where I am fed up with excuses and people dropping out last minute. We have a brilliant set up with 4 coaches, 2 physio’s, half a floodlight pitch, and all the equipment we need. But for some reason we are having declining numbers every week.
So I’m putting it to you as players, we can carry on the way we are and continue to have a decline in numbers and subsequently loose the majority of our games or we can buck our ideas up and get back on track. There will be no training next week; instead we will be having a white board session to discuss the future of senior rugby at the club. This will be a chance to express yourself and talk to me about why we are in this situation. If you do not wish to attend then I will take it that you no longer want to be part of SRUFC senior section. This is not a bluff in anyway shape or form, this is me giving you an ultimatum. If you just want to be part of a social and just turn up as and when it suits you then you don’t need a coach for that. The future is in your hands. I shall see you all (hopefully) at the club next Wednesday @ 7:30pm for a 7:45 start.
