The team worked hard to get another win in god awful conditions against a determined Dover who battled hard for 80mins with a weakened side.
Dover who made the trip up to Sittingbourne sadly were unable to travel with all their players e.g. props, so we were forced to play un-contested scrums. As a result we were unable to build off our scrums which have been very competitive this season.
Clive was back for this game and took control as scrum half pushing the forwards and trying to feed Tim at 10 or pods of runners which was working and resulted in lot of territory in Dover half.
Matty yet again broke free and was driving for the try before his calf pulled up resulting in some good rucking by the forwards and Tim side stepping a number of defenders to break through and score a great try, Ollie again using his speed and strength was able to drive over for another try.
Dover fought back and scored a quick try following us falling asleep and leaving space and virtually no defence for Dover to exploit and get on the score board. This try resulted in the team switching on and taking control of the game again. After some strong running by Mindaugas and pressure by the forwards led by Laws, Clive was able to score a sniping try and increase his individual tally this season. Steve continued to apply pressure with his kicking, however we were unable to add any more tries on the board after having most of the possession in the second half.
